In Christ’s Love, We Serve™.
At Light and Hope Mission, our work is grounded in our unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Our ministry is dedicated to living out and spreading His teachings through our actions and outreach.
Below is our Statement of Faith, which serves as the foundation for all that we do.
Statement of Faith
1. The Bible:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate guide for our faith and practice.
- 2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2. The Trinity:
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and coeternal.
- Matthew 28:19: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
3. Jesus Christ :
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- John 1:1-2: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.”
- 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
4. Salvation :
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone. It is the gift of God, not of works, so no one can boast. Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are justified, sanctified, and granted eternal life.
- Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
5. The Holy Spirit :
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit also empowers believers to witness and work for the Lord.
- John 14:16-17: “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
6. The Church:
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. We are one Body, the Church, of which Christ is the Head.
- 1 Corinthians 12:12-13: “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”
7. The Great Commission :
We believe that the mission of the Church is to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation, making disciples of all nations.
- Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Faith in Action
In a world often marked by suffering and need, the call to live out our faith through compassionate service has never been more urgent. At Light and Hope Mission, we believe that spreading the Gospel is not just about words but about action—faith in action. Our mission is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, who demonstrated love, compassion, and service to others.
1. The Biblical Foundation for Compassionate Service
Jesus as the Ultimate Example: The foundation of our work is the example set by Jesus Christ. Throughout His ministry, Jesus consistently demonstrated compassion for the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and offered hope to the hopeless. His actions were a powerful expression of God’s love and a model for how we are called to live. At Light and Hope Mission, we strive to follow this example by serving others in practical ways while sharing the message of the Gospel.
The Great Commission: In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave His disciples the Great Commission, instructing them to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This command serves as the cornerstone of our evangelistic efforts. However, we recognize that fulfilling this mission requires more than just preaching; it requires living out the Gospel in tangible ways. By meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve, we create opportunities to share the message of salvation and demonstrate the love of Christ in action.
The Parable of the Good Samaritan: The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) illustrates the importance of showing compassion to others, regardless of their background or circumstances. The Samaritan’s willingness to help a stranger in need, despite cultural differences, is a powerful example of love in action. Inspired by this parable, Light and Hope Mission seeks to cross barriers and reach out to those in need, offering both practical assistance and the hope of the Gospel.
2. Integrating Evangelism and Practical Support
Holistic Ministry: At Light and Hope Mission, we believe in a holistic approach to ministry that addresses both the spiritual and physical needs of individuals and communities. Our programs are designed to provide relief and support while sharing the message of the Gospel. Whether we are distributing food, providing medical care, or offering educational opportunities, our goal is to demonstrate the love of Christ and invite others into a relationship with Him.
Meeting Immediate Needs: One of the most effective ways to share the Gospel is by meeting the immediate needs of those who are suffering. In many communities, poverty, hunger, and lack of access to basic services create barriers to hearing and receiving the Gospel. By addressing these needs, we build trust and open doors for spiritual conversations. Our relief efforts—whether in response to natural disasters, conflicts, or ongoing poverty—are opportunities to show God’s love in action and share the hope found in Christ.
Empowering Communities: Our approach to service is not just about providing temporary relief but about empowering communities for long-term transformation. We work to equip individuals with the skills, resources, and support they need to become self-sufficient and thrive. This empowerment is not just physical or economic but also spiritual. Through discipleship programs, Bible studies, and church partnerships, we help new believers grow in their faith and become agents of change in their communities.
3. The Role of Prayer and Community Support
The Power of Prayer: Prayer is the foundation of everything we do at Light and Hope Mission. We believe that our efforts to spread the Gospel and provide relief are strengthened and guided by prayer. We invite our supporters to join us in prayer for the individuals and communities we serve. Through prayer, we seek God’s wisdom, protection, and provision as we carry out our mission. Prayer also opens hearts and prepares the way for the Gospel to be received.

Faith in action is about more than just words; it’s about living out the Gospel in every aspect of our lives. At Light and Hope Mission, we are committed to spreading the Gospel through compassionate service. By meeting the physical and spiritual needs of those we serve, we demonstrate the love of Christ and offer hope to the hopeless. Our work is a reflection of our faith—a faith that compels us to serve, to love, and to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Together, we can put our faith into action and bring the light and hope of the Gospel to the world.
